The Pilatus PC12, famous the world over for it’s ability to fly high and fast, then land on short, unprepared strips, is an aircraft that requires type training before a pilot is able to exercise the privileges of their Single-Engine Class Rating on the aircraft.
Civil Aviation Safety Regulation 61.747 prescribes aircraft that, whilst class rated, are considered complex enough that a course of training and a flight review on the type is required. The Pilatus PC12 series is one of these types, and Core Aviation is CASA approved to provide this training on the legacy PC12, the NG, and NGX models.
In addition, the training course can include competencies to attain the Gas Turbine Engine design feature endorsement at the same time, a valuable addition to any pilot’s qualification’s, particularly as the Pratt and Whitney PT6 series of engine that is fitted to the PC12 is one of the most used engines on general aviation turboprop aircraft world wide.
In addition to type training, we can offer training and checking services to other PC12 operators, along with “first-of-type” assistance to charter companies looking to add the aircraft to their AOC for the first time.
With more and more operators moving towards the Pilatus PC12, now is the time to get your training on this fantastic aircraft type!
